Date: Mar 19, 2026 Day: Thursday
Eid is not a festival, it is a feeling, a memory and a bond with one own origin. Festivals such as Eid are usually welcomed with mixed feelings and feelings of longing especially to students studying far away. However, this year, JAIU did not allow any student to feel out of their culture, and they got the Chand Raat celebration going on that warmed the heart and united them all, as well as gave them a great sense of belonging.
✨ Highlight: A celebration that brought unity, emotions and belonging together
Chand Raat is in a different place in every heart. It is the eve of fun, planning and expectancy of Eid. Families reunite, markets radiate and people are happy.
This is not normally present among students who are not living with their families. The JAIU however converted that feeling into reality by establishing a setting that would enable students to recap those gorgeous experiences.
✨ Highlight: Students did not only celebrate Chand Raat but also felt home.
The place was lit and colorful with party decorations that portrayed the true spirit of Eid. The newcomers could experience the warmth and the joy with which this special night is celebrated as soon as they entered.
The ability of international students to remain in touch with their culture as they live in another country is one of the greatest challenges facing them. Such festivals as Eid make them remember their families, tradition, childhood memories.
JAIU knew of this emotional gap and made this step towards bridging this gap.
✨ Highlight: There was no student who felt out of touch with their roots.
With this celebration, students were able to:
Revive their cultural background.
Spread joy among companions.
Get emotionally attached to home.
Make merry without losing your loved ones
This was not only a celebration but also a matter of keeping identity and culture.
Chand Raat party was full of laughter, music and memorable moments. Students in conventional clothes, took photographs, ate, and had quality time with friends.
✨ Highlight: All smiles were happy ones, all moments were moments of memory.
The incident played an ideal equilibrium between happiness and feeling. Although the atmosphere was very exciting, there was also a sense of comfort and belonging.
The students who were earlier on feeling homesick were smiling and laughing their hearts out, and having a great time in every moment of the night.
Such activities are not just a celebration but they contribute to the establishment of a strong relationship between students. When students gather in order to promote their culture, they associate with one another.
✨ Highlight: Friends became family, and strangers became friends.
The Chand Raat event assisted the students:
Make effective friendships.
Share cultural experiences
Emotional support of each other.
Feel part of a community
A good student fraternity is a crucial constituent of making life as a student pleasurable and at ease.
JAIU is recognized as advisors in the academic path of students, however, the task extends much further than that. The organization realizes that students require emotional and cultural support to the same extent as academic guidance.
✨ Highlight: JAIU is concerned with the overall welfare of the students.
Through festival events such as Chand Raat, JAIU demonstrates its dedication towards:
Student happiness and mental well being.
Cultural inclusivity
Establishing a good atmosphere.
Assisting students outside academics.
This practice leaves a massive impact on the lives of the foreign students.
It was not only an event to many students but also an emotional experience. It made them be reminded of their homes and their families, and being able to celebrate together.
✨ Highlight: Tears of homesickness became smiles of happiness.
Students also developed a feeling of comfort since they knew that they were not alone even though they were very far away. They possessed a community to whom they cared and partied.
It is this emotional attachment that makes such events really memorable.
Students in the present day have a hectic academic life, which can be stressful, pressurizing and even lonely. Cultural events bring about a badly required rest, and emotional equilibrium.
Such events:
Reduce stress and anxiety
Improve mental well-being
Boost confidence and morale
Support social interaction.
✨ Highlight: A joyful student is an improved student in both academics and emotional state.
The Chand Raat festivity is the best illustration of how cultural events can have positive influence on the lives of students.
As the night wore into evening it was obvious that it was not another occasion, it was a memory being formed. Students took pictures, laughing, and making some memories that they would spend their life life with.
✨ Highlight: Moments that will be remembered long after the night is over.
This Chand Raat was really memorable through the happiness, the smiles and the emotional attachment.
Chand Raat at Its Finest was not merely a celebration but a connection, belongs and feeling. JAIU was able to provide an atmosphere in which students were able to mark Eid, the same way they would do it at home.
✨ Final Highlight:
Students are never too distant to their culture, however, far they may be to their families.
With these efforts, JAIU has kept showing that education is not merely about books but about making experiences, building relationships and making lives.
An emotional, cultural and social evening, this Chand Raat was very special. ✨
